In the U.S., today is Memorial Day—a time to remember and honor those who have died in military service.

While this day holds deep meaning for many, it can also be easy to lose sight of that in the midst of a long weekend, to do lists, and a busy social calendar.
Whether or not you observe Memorial Day, I invite you to take a moment to slow down.
Not just to honor others—but to honor your own humanity too.
To check in with yourself.
To offer your body a little kindness.
To give yourself permission to rest or reset.
Because healing isn’t about pushing through—it’s about tuning in.
Freedom—of any kind—is sacred.
Take a moment for yourself today.
To honor your body. Your story. Your healing.
You may not yet have the food freedom you crave, but you have other freedoms that are priceless.
What might it look like to treat yourself with kindness today?
To nourish rather than restrict.
To rest without guilt.
To savor instead of suppress.
